Schobinger Maurice (St-Légier-La Chiésaz)

Paris, November 13, 2015, 9:37pm. Maurice Schobinger is present at the terrace of the bar La Belle Équipe in the 11th arrondissement, one of the establishments targeted during the series of terrorist attacks. At the moment of the attack, he instinctively took refuge behind a tree on the sidewalk. This reflex saved his life. The overlay of plant fibers is dense enough to stop bullets. In response to this experience, photographing trees at night became an obvious choice for Schobinger, guided by his memory of events in Paris. FIN is a reflection on the fleeting nature of those moments when everything can change. The photographs are presented on ten wooden monoliths, in a green space populated by century-old trees on the edge of the lake.
