Blatt Christophe et Viviane (Vésenaz)

LIGHTMOTIF is a family business founded in Geneva in 1978 by Christophe and Viviane Blatt, a couple with a passion for photography. It all began with the conversion of a former dairy in the Saint-Jean district: an agency with 17 Swiss photographers and a gallery were created.

This was followed by expansion with the creation of the "Lightmotif-éditions.com" publishing house for art and postcards, and the takeover of the "Editions Coloris-Jaeger" publishing house, founded in 1912, of Albert Philippon's "Editions Claire-Obscur", and a move to larger premises in the La Pallanterie industrial estate. For several years now, Lightmotif products have also been offered in an online store; professional retailers order directly from the Lightmotif-pro.com store.

In 2018, a new chapter will be written: Lightmotif-vintage.com and oldswitzerland.ch will offer original historic photographs from the collection that Viviane and Christophe Blatt have built up over more than 30 years. Lightmotif is a member of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
