In this day and age, many a bride and groom ask themselves if they really need a professional photographer or if the money they "saved" would be better spent on a flight to the Alps or a limousine... after all, more than one person in their circle of friends has a "good" camera - someone will be able to be found to take a pair of beautiful wedding pictures.
But... photographing weddings at a consistently high level is an art that requires a lot of experience and craftsmanship.
Constantly changing lighting conditions - neon light at the civil wedding - burning sun in the park - deep shadows at the apero - candlelight at the wedding dinner - at the end still a fireworks...... there the program automatic is quickly no longer enough!
Then there's the time pressure... there's a specific program to follow, so there's hardly any time for experiments and uncertainties, otherwise you'll quickly have a dissatisfied wedding party. Overslept the ring exchange....? Unfortunately, there are no repetitions! An experienced wedding photographer knows in advance what will happen next.

The point is to accompany a wedding photographically and not to put the day in the hands of the photographer- or ? Adaptability & flexibility are required.

A good wedding photographer should behave unobtrusively, yet always be in the right place at the right time. He should behave correctly and friendly towards the wedding guests at all times, but also be able to stand up and direct 100 guests for a group picture in a brisk and determined manner.
All this is probably understandable for most...... but the real big work starts after the wedding: converting, editing, correcting, creating presentations. The post-processing of the wedding pictures takes at least as much time as the wedding day itself.
If you want to avoid disappointment and appreciate beautiful photographs, you are well advised to put your precious wedding memories in the hands of a professional wedding photographer..... even if he costs a little more!
Quality has its reasonable price - cheap is not always better!
Don't just compare the prices of different wedding photographers, look at their wedding portfolios. Or do you buy a used car without looking just because it is the cheapest?
