Foto Garbani SA (Muralto)

Foto Garbani SA now has 3 branches and employs about ten employees. It is a family-run business. Started in 1928 with a small store with an adjoining b/w workshop, in Piazza Stazione in Locarno, it has constantly evolved, knowing how to adapt to market changes. To this day, alongside its headquarters in Locarno-Muralto it also has branches in Lugano-Cassarate and a small branch in Riazzino. Its activities include all service revolving around the world of photography. From the execution and printing of photographs, studio portraits, printing of postcards, calendars, greeting cards, to photo reports, photos for websites, technical photos and collaboration with newspapers but also the sale and support service of photographic equipment and video cameras. Thanks to its long activity and taking over the material of now closed photo studios, it now has a photographic archive of considerable historical value. Foto Garbani has also collaborated, providing photographic material, in the preparation of numerous publications produced by publishing houses in the region
