Gérard Marian (Carouge GE)

Marian Gerard was born in Switzerland of French parents and benefits from the influences of both cultures. At the age of 14, he discovered his passion for photography. In 1987, the Vevey School of Photography came to an end, giving him the opportunity to set up as a freelance photographer.

Together with his brother Yves Gérard, an administrator and self-taught photographer, they initially worked as "generalist" photographers, but soon specialized in shooting watches and works of art.

The studio has won the trust of major brands in the highly competitive fields of watchmaking (Rolex, Chopard, Les Ambassadeurs, Tudor, Svend Andersen, Cedric Jhoner), jewelry (Cartier, Adler, Golay Fils & Steel) and the art market (Chritsies, Fondation Baur, Philippe Cramer Designer).

With the evolution of techniques, the creation of images becomes more the result of teamwork than that of the individual photographer. The structure is evolving into a form of SME.
